Truck crash sparks house blast; 1 dies

A pickup crashed into a Prescott home and ruptured a natural gas line, causing an explosion that killed the driver and injured a police officer, authorities said.
The pickup came to rest about 6 feet inside the house. As an officer tried to reach the woman in the pickup, an explosion destroyed the house, police said.
The crash had damaged a natural gas meter.
Police said the owners of the house were inside at the time of the crash but weren’t hurt.
