Let ‘Grey’s’ staff learn, move on

SCOTT COLLINS suggests that the “Grey’s Anatomy” scandal represents a kind of “death” [“Kiss & Make Up?” Feb. 5]. I not only disagree but also think it represents a new life in a surprising way.
Each of us has said things that we later regret. Each actor on this show has immense talent and skill. I have come to love their characters and to trust the actors to learn from their characters. I am not about to give up the empathy, understanding and growth the show gives me to keep this scandal alive. Each actor, writer, director -- and certainly series creator Shonda Rhimes -- deserves praise and celebration for the truth they bring us each week.
Let’s allow the actors to work out their foibles or flaws as would their characters: with time, in grace and with the honest desire for betterment.
