Menu Foods expands recall of products

Menu Foods Ltd., whose products have been blamed for the deaths of at least 16 animals, expanded its pet food recall after it found contaminated wheat gluten at a plant in Canada.
Menu Foods said one shipment of wheat gluten tainted with melamine -- a substance used to make fertilizer -- was sent to its Mississauga, Ontario, facility from a plant in Emporia, Kan. The company didn’t say how much food it called back.
