Long Beach police arrested a man in connection with a car-to-car shooting on the San Diego Freeway that left a motorist wounded Sunday evening, officials said.
The identities of the suspect and the victim were not immediately released. The victim’s condition also was not available Sunday evening.
The gunman shot the victim about 6 p.m. as they drove north on the freeway near the 605 Freeway in Long Beach, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.
Witnesses gave police a description of the vehicle and the license plate number, Kimball said. About 40 minutes after the shooting, police arrested the suspect.
