Trojans and Bruins Are Off to Good Starts

Ben Olson throws for 318 yards, completes 25 of 33 passes for three touchdowns in a 31-10 UCLA win over a Utah team and his performance is rated “outstanding” by The Times.
On the other hand, John David Booty completes 24 of 35 for 261 yards and three touchdowns in a 50-14 win over Arkansas, and USC’s performance is described as “unspectacular.”
Is it because so little is expected of the Bruins and so much more of the Trojans, that any positive note for the Bruins is rated above the norm?

One Pac-10 school definitely set itself apart from the crowd on the first week of the season when Oregon took the field in the ugliest uniforms this side of the Albanian National Guard. The bile-green, black and vomit-colored ensemble was so embarrassing that the AFLAC Duck has announced plans to change his name to the AFLAC Buckeye and Donald is said to be contemplating a switch to anything but Trump.
