A learning specialist at a Roman Catholic high school in Rancho Santa Margarita was arrested Thursday on suspicion of sexually assaulting one of his students.
Evan Molina, 23, was taken into custody about 3 p.m. at his home in Laguna Niguel after a student at Santa Margarita Catholic High School, where he had been teaching for 11 months, reported the alleged assault to her parents, said Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The teenager, whose age was not specified, was allegedly assaulted off campus, he said.
Molina was booked at Orange County Jail on one count of rape with a foreign object with bail set at $100,000, Amormino said.
