Skateboarder, 14, Killed in Collision With Truck

A teenager riding his skateboard was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer in a gas station parking lot, police said Wednesday.
Albert Pellicano II, 14, was hit about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Chevron station at Valley View Street and La Palma Avenue, police said. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he died about an hour later.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, said Lt. Steve Holliday, a spokesman for the Buena Park Police Department.
