A home exchange with a family in Singapore gave Gayle Luque of San Diego and her husband, writer Harold Jaffe, a base to explore Southeast Asia for about six weeks in the summer of 2005. With a Canon C-5050, Luque took this photo outside the Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia. “They’d just finished this Cambodian dancing, which is very beautiful, and were taking a little break there,” said Luque, a graduate student.
