From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The Engineers and Architects Assn. and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa agreed to a deal Friday that will require certain members of the city employees union to stay on the job during future strikes or walkouts.
In exchange, the city agreed not to take action against about 20 employees who went on strike last week despite a court order.
The 200 employees who must remain on the job include those in police and fire dispatch and LAX operations staff.
