Now, they’re sure: Flying’s no fun

WE hadn’t flown in a while and didn’t realize how bad things had gotten. A recent trip to Atlanta opened our eyes.
Our $519 fares on Delta bought us biscuits, cramped seating, noisy 767s and hard landings on both legs of the trip.
The mass of swirling humanity in Atlanta trying to clear security was a bizarre sight. A bomb-laden terrorist standing in line could slaughter many people. We never saw a single uniformed police officer.
