Evidence Seized in Gang Sweep; 4 Cited, Released
Four people allegedly affiliated with a local gang were arrested and 20 weapons seized in a sweep by police early Tuesday morning.
Nearly 300 law enforcement officials executed 31 search warrants in Riverside, Corona and Rubidoux against members of a street gang, Riverside Police Department officials said. The raids were conducted primarily to gather intelligence and evidence, said department spokesman Steven Frasher.
Other members of the gang were already in custody in connection with the shooting death of a rival gang member in August in Riverside.
The two adults and two juveniles were cited and released Tuesday on parole violation and drug charges.
