CBS stays the course, confidently

CBS moved conservatively in announcing its new prime-time lineup on Wednesday. The network will keep 18 of its current shows and is adding just four new programs to the mix. (Three other shows were tapped as midseason replacements.)
WHAT’S NEW
*--* Title Description “The Class” Ensemble comedy about third-grade classmates reunited as adults. “Shark” James Woods as a celebrity defense attorney who becomes a prosecutor. “Jericho” Drama set in a small town following an apocalyptic event. “Smith” Drama starring Ray Liotta about a close-knit crew of career criminals. “Rules of Engagement” Midseason alternative about couples in different stages of their relationships. “Waterfront” Midseason alternative about a brilliant but amoral mayor, with Joe Pantoliano, William Baldwin and Larenz Tate. “3 Lbs.” Midseason alternative drama focusing on brain surgeons, starring Stanley Tucci.
