Tim Curry, who returns to the role of King Arthur in “Monty Python’s Spamalot” in London this fall, has been filling a very different role in Los Feliz. The English actor, known for starring in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (1975), has restored several houses in the area.

This 1926 Mediterranean Italianate Revival estate, tucked below the Griffith Park Observatory on Nottingham Avenue, was refurbished by Curry in 2004.

To Curry, restoring doesn’t mean a little touch-up but meticulous attention to detail and high-quality finishes.

The living room features an antique lead-glass window, a baronial fireplace, a beamed ceiling and tall French doors, which open to a patio with an outdoor fireplace.

The formal dining room can easily accommodate a dozen or more guests. The kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances, limestone counters and a breakfast area.

There is a climate-controlled wine cellar with a tasting bar plus an outdoor kitchen with a grill, sink and refrigerator for al fresco dining.

About this house: Curry completed the work and sold the home to its current owners in 2004, who were drawn to it, no doubt, by features including an infinity pool decorated with hand-painted tiles, a private spa, an outdoor dining area, mature trees and an intimate garden. The home also has views of downtown Los Angeles.
