Pearl Jam’s second act
CONGRATULATIONS to Ann Powers on her new job at The Times and thank you for a beautifully written and insightful article about Pearl Jam’s return [“Ready for a Storm,†April 30]. I especially appreciated the Eddie Vedder quote, “We’re fighting for the health of democracy here, yet we realize that just within our group it’s very difficult.â€
Reflections like that are comforting to all of us who face the everyday challenges of keeping families and communities working together.
