Revenue Surge May Mean More Spending

The growing county can expect a large surplus in its 2006-07 budget because of an anticipated $62.1-million surge in property tax revenue, the Board of Supervisors was told Tuesday.
County administrators said they also expect more in sales tax revenue, and all the combined surpluses will allow for more county construction projects and hiring.
