Fresh from Pacific Palisades

Former attorney Kimberly Reiner has been making fudge since she was a kid, but less than two years ago she went professional. A gift store owner in Pacific Palisades (where Reiner lives) persuaded her to ramp up production of the candy she’d been giving to neighbors at holidays. Wryly suburban in her marketing (the small box is also called a “carpool box”), Reiner packages semisweet and white chocolate fudge in beribboned takeout boxes marked with a packing date for freshness.
Momma Reiner’s Fudge. Small, $6; medium, $15; large, $25. Available at Black Ink, 873 Swarthmore Ave., Pacific Palisades, (310) 573-9905; online at www.mommareiner.com or by telephone, (310) 454-2604.
