Driver Is Shot, Killed in Glassell Park Area

A man was shot and killed Sunday morning while driving in the Glassell Park area of Los Angeles, police said.
The driver, who has not been identified, was shot several times in the back about 5 a.m. and then crashed into a pole at San Fernando Road and Fletcher Drive, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died, Lopez said.
Police are continuing to investigate.
