Boston 13, at Oakland 5: Manny Ramirez homered for the second game in a row to help Curt Schilling (13-3) get the victory. Ramirez also had a run-scoring single and a sacrifice fly. Boston had a season-high 18 hits.
Toronto 12, at Seattle 3: Roy Halladay (13-2) gave up two earned runs over seven innings. Only two Mariners reached base in the first four innings and Halladay retired seven in a row before Seattle scored two runs in the fifth. The Mariners had their three-game winning streak stopped.
at Kansas City 7, Baltimore 5: Mark Teahen hit two homers and drove in a career-high five runs for the Royals, who rallied from a 4-0 deficit. Mark Redman (7-5) improved to 7-1 in his last 10 starts.
New York 7, at Texas 4: Mike Mussina made it through a sporadic six innings for his 12th victory with help from Alex Rodriguez, who reached base three times and scored twice.
at Cleveland 12, Detroit 7: Cleveland scored seven runs off Detroit ace Kenny Rogers (11-4) and then held off baseball’s best team long enough for the victory. Rogers, who was 8-1 with six no-decisions in his previous 15 starts, lost for the first time since he was beaten by Cleveland on May 28.
Around the majors: Texas activated right-hander Adam Eaton from the disabled list. The Rangers designated right-hander Bryan Corey for assignment.... Milwaukee acquired infielder Tony Graffanino from Kansas City. The Royals got left-hander Jorge De La Rosa in return.
