Audiotape of Al Qaeda Leader Posted Online

An Islamic website posted an audiotape from Al Qaeda’s No. 2, Ayman Zawahiri, but U.S. officials said the tape did not appear to have been made recently.
Zawahiri read a poem praising “martyrs of holy war” in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere.
It was unclear when the recording was made, but the poem referred to Afghanistan martyrs during the U.S.-allied Northern Alliance’s assault on the Taliban after the Sept. 11 attacks, a CIA official said.
