Aaron Nixon scored a career-high 22 points and Jibril Hodges had 19 Sunday to help Long Beach State (7-8, 2-2 Big West) end a six-game losing streak against Cal State Northridge (6-8, 1-3) with an 84-73 victory at the Walter Pyramid.
The 49ers held Big West leading scorer Mike Efevberha to 10 points.
UC Santa Barbara 64, UC Davis 50 -- Joe See had 12 points to lead the Gauchos (7-8) past the Aggies (5-11) for their first road victory.
