From Times Wire Reports
Authorities said they had resumed supplies of food and water to inmates at Afghanistan’s main jail after about 2,000 prisoners agreed to temporarily halt two days of rioting.

The violence erupted Saturday after prisoners refused to put on new uniforms, delivered in response to a breakout last month by seven Taliban prisoners who had disguised themselves as visitors.
