SEC Chairman Christopher Cox returned to work Tuesday, about three weeks after surgery to remove a tumor, the agency said.
The former Republican congressman from Newport Beach had surgery Jan. 30 to remove a thymoma, a tumor on the thymus gland that regulates development of the immune system and is located in the chest above the heart. Thymomas are not always cancerous.
