From Times Wire Reports
Rep. Bernard Sanders collapsed at the funeral of a Vermont National Guardsman and was treated at a hospital for flu and dehydration, then released.
Sanders, 64, left the funeral for Sgt. Joshua Johnson, who died last month in Iraq, while it was in progress in the Richford High School gymnasium in Richford.
“I feel all right,” Sanders said as he left. “My wife had a flu. I’m fine.”
He fell to the floor in the lobby and lay there for a few minutes before being helped into a restroom. He eventually walked to an ambulance.
