Home Depot to Cut 300 Jobs at Headquarters

Home Depot Inc. said it was cutting about 300 jobs, or 5.5% of its workforce, at its Atlanta headquarters.
Chief Executive Bob Nardelli said the decision was related to the company’s recent announcement that it would invest $350 million in the second half of this year to improve customer service at its 2,087 stores.
