From Times Wire Reports
Prosecutors at the International Criminal Court in The Hague charged a former Congolese warlord with recruiting and conscripting children as young as 10 to fight in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s civil war.
Thomas Lubanga is accused of forcing families to give up at least one child and abducting other children. He is also accused of training and forcing them to fight ethnic rivals in Congo, formerly known as Zaire.
He has denied all charges, which are war crimes punishable by a maximum life term.
