Man Gets 38 Years to Life for Molesting 4 Girls

An Anaheim man who frequently volunteered to baby-sit children at his motel complex was sentenced in Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana to 38 years to life in prison for molesting four girls, officials said.

Allen Lee Hutchcraft, 56, gained the trust of parents at the El Dorado Inn -- an extended-stay motel on Lincoln Avenue -- by doing them favors such as picking up their children from school. He befriended the children by, among other things, offering them treats, police said.

Since February 2001, Hutchcraft had taken pictures of the girls nude, all of whom were 8 or 9, as well as exposed himself in ways that led to physical contact, police said.
