* Casey Greene, Woodland Hills El Camino Real: The Cal State Northridge-bound senior hit a three-run homer to lead the Conquistadores, ranked No. 5 in the Southland by The Times, to a 4-2 semifinal victory over Hialeah (Fla.) at the Miami Braddock tournament.
* Gregg Winger, Anaheim Canyon: Hit two home runs, including a grand slam, to lift the No. 16 Comanches to an 8-2 win over Brea Olinda.

* Brooke Phipps and Brittney Bargar, Corona: Hit a two-run triple in the eighth inning and pitched a one-hit complete game, respectively, to lead the No. 2 Panthers past No. 13 Norco, 4-1.
* Deandra Garcia, Corona Centennial: Pitched an 11-inning, four-hit shutout as the Huskies upset No. 11 Corona Santiago, 3-0.
