Water Service to 100 Is Cut After Main Breaks
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Water service was interrupted for about 100 residents Wednesday after a water main erupted and created a small sinkhole, officials said.
Residents were without water for about nine hours after the 9 a.m. rupture.
Cerritos Avenue was closed between Hampstead and 9th streets, just west of the Disneyland Hotel, as work crews repaired the pipe and the street, fire officials said.
Officials said they did not know the cause of the rupture.
