More Marijuana Plants Found in Third Vineyard

About 30,000 marijuana plants were seized in a vineyard near here, just days after police found 46,680 plants in two vineyards near Caruthers, narcotics investigators said.
Gasper Hernandez, 61; Jose Bravo Garcia, 38; and Felipe Hernandez, 25, were arrested in connection with Thursday’s seizure.
Four people were arrested in connection with the June 7 incident: Antonio Alvarez, 20; Saul Juarez, 29; Claudio Lopez, 28; and the owner of the property, Baldev Singh Purewal, 56.
All were charged with conspiring to cultivate and possess marijuana, possession for sale and being armed while committing a felony.
