* Michael Morrison and Joe Cariaso, Cypress: Morrison threw a five-hitter, and Cariaso tripled, singled and scored three runs as the Centurions beat Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos, 7-1, in a Southern Section Division II semifinal game.

* Joe Roberts, Phelan Serrano: Had a sacrifice fly in a two-run first inning and hit a home run in the third in a 3-2 Division V semifinal victory over Ventura St. Bonaventure.

SOFTBALL

* Kara Harper, Long Beach Millikan: Pitched a five-hit shutout and singled in a run as the fourth-seeded Rams upset top-seeded San Bernardino Cajon, 2-0, in a Division III semifinal.

* Sadie Barton, Paramount: Pitched a perfect game with 11 strikeouts.Cynthia Rubio’s double drove in the only run in a 1-0 Division IV semifinal victory over West Hills Chaminade that put the Pirates in their first section final.
