Orchestra gets $5-million gift

Orange County’s Pacific Symphony has received the largest gift in its history: $5 million from the Hal and Jeanette Segerstrom Family Foundation.
Symphony officials said the money would be used to fund their classics series and to endow the Principal Pops Conductor Chair, the post currently held by Richard Kaufman.
