Art magazine moves to L.A.

Ginger WOLFE, editor of InterReview magazine, would like Los Angeles art aficionados to know that the small but respected publication -- featuring “writings on art from the critically acclaimed to the utterly obscure” -- has recently moved its headquarters from Chicago to L.A. and that the annual launch party, open to the public, will take place at 9 p.m. Saturday at the arts-friendly Mountain Bar in Chinatown.
The magazine also continues to struggle for funds, so Wolfe hopes that visitors will remember to make a suggested $5 donation at the door.
Wolfe says that they’ll get their money’s worth: Artists Mary Kelly and Michael Asher, featured in the most recent issue of the magazine, will be on hand to speak in a conversation together. Wolfe adds that the new issue includes a rare interview with Asher as well as images from a “phenomenal artist project” by Kelly that cannot be seen elsewhere. The magazine will be for sale at the event.
