‘Bumfights’ Producers Threatened With Jail
Two men who produced a series of videos featuring homeless people fighting and performing dangerous stunts must prove they completed required community service or face four months in jail, a San Diego County Superior Court judge ruled.
Judge Charles Ervin revoked probation Wednesday for Zachary Bubeck, 27, and Ryan McPherson Bubeck, 21 -- two of four producers of the “Bumfights†videos. Bubeck and McPherson, both of Las Vegas, pleaded guilty in June 2003 to misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to stage an illegal fight and were sentenced to 280 hours community service for the homeless and placed on probation.
