What a shame that Jeremiah Flanigan, by his own confession, has been unable to understand than the writing of Susan Sontag [Letters, Jan. 1]. I would suggest that the “indecipherable fog” that he encountered was probably generated in his mind more by endless hours of watching Fox News than an actual attempt at reading “Regarding the Pain of Others” or “On Photography.”
