North Carolina Ends Duke Streak

Ivory Latta made a go-ahead three-point shot, then she and North Carolina teammates made free throws down the stretch to top No. 2 Duke, 77-68, Sunday night, ending the longest home winning streak in Atlantic Coast Conference history at 33.

Latta scored 23 points for the eighth-ranked Tar Heels (24-3, 12-2), who clinched the top seeding in the ACC tournament by tying the Blue Devils for the regular-season title. Monique Currie scored 22 points on nine-for-18 shooting for Duke (26-3, 12-2).

No. 1 Louisiana State 76, Florida 52 -- Seimone Augustus scored 19 at home for the Tigers (27-1, 14-0), who earned their first Southeastern Conference regular-season title.

No. 4 Ohio St. 69, No. 22 Penn St. 58 -- Jessica Davenport had 29 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Buckeyes (27-3, 14-2) to a share of the conference title in front of a home crowd of 17,525, the largest ever for a Big Ten game. Tanisha Wright had 29 points for the Nittany Lions (18-9, 13-3).

No. 5 Tennessee 94, Alabama 81 -- Shyra Ely and Nicky Anosike scored 19 points each on the road for the Volunteers (23-4, 13-1 SEC).

No. 12 DePaul 77, Marquette 56 -- Jenni Dant scored 29 points at home for the Blue Demons (24-3, 13-1), who matched a Conference USA record with their 13th consecutive conference win.

No. 15 Minnesota 70, Northwestern 62 -- Jamie Broback had 26 points and Janel McCarville 18 points and 12 rebounds on the road for the Golden Gophers (22-6, 12-4 Big Ten).

No. 16 Temple 69, St. Joseph’s 46 -- Ari Moore scored 15 points on the road for the Owls (24-3, 16-0 Atlantic 10), who won their 21st game in a row.

No. 20 Vanderbilt 66, No. 18 Georgia 59 -- Dee Davis scored eight of her 18 points in overtime to lead the visiting Commodores (21-6, 10-4 SEC). Sherill Baker’s 13 points led the Bulldogs (21-8, 9-5).
