Blockbuster Says Some Stores End ‘No Late Fee’

Blockbuster Inc. said about 160 independently operated stores had dropped the chain’s “no late fees” policy because they could not afford to buy the inventory needed to allow customers to keep items longer under the plan.
But nearly 4,400 company-operated stores, as well as most of its 400 franchised stores, will continue to offer the program.
