On stage with the Stones
The chance to become a rock ‘n’ roll extra in the Rolling Stones’ 2005 blockbuster has finally arrived. Tickets will go on sale Friday for onstage seating that the band is incorporating into the set design on its U.S. tour.
The configuration will be used only at the tour’s stadium dates, starting with the opening shows Aug. 21 and 22 at Boston’s Fenway Park and including four California shows: Nov. 4 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Nov. 11 at Petco Park in San Diego and Nov. 13 and 15 at SBC Park in San Francisco.
Tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Friday through www.ticketmaster.com or at the local Ticketmaster phone charge line, and Anaheim and San Diego tickets will also be sold at www.avalonattractions.com. The price range is $75 to $250, and a two-ticket limit will be enforced.
Some tickets will also be distributed through promotional contests on the band’s fan club website, www.rollingstones.com, and some people who have already purchased tickets for the concerts will have an opportunity to exchange them for stage seats through a text-messaging program whose details will be announced later.
