Anchorwoman lives ‘La Vida’
KCBS-TV Channel 2 anchor Laura Diaz is adding some Latin flavor to the local airwaves with an occasional series she will host focusing on the Latino community in Southern California.
Beginning Sunday, “La Vida†will occasionally replace “Studio 2,†a weekly community public affairs program hosted by Diaz and her co-anchor Paul Magers at 6:30 p.m. The first installment of “La Vida†will offer stories about Cinco de Mayo, actors Jimmy Smits and Adam Rodriguez and musicians Sergio and Francisco Gomez.
Future episodes will include coverage of the L.A. mayor’s race and the demographic shifts in South L.A., Diaz said.
