Greyhound Memories

Your editorial, “Buses in the Rear-View Mirror” (April 25), brought back many fond memories, dating to my first Greyhound trip in 1936. New York City to Los Angeles on narrow roads and non-air-conditioned buses in the August heat. I haven’t traveled “by dog” since 1962, but it was exciting to grab the front seat on the long trips to Canada and the East Coast. The view was unsurpassed. I now drive a VW bus with appropriate license plates -- GRHDBUS.
