2 Arrested After Gun Exchange in Library
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Police evacuated the Arcadia Public Library and arrested two men Wednesday after someone saw the men exchange a gun.
Lt. Gene Gioia said that about 2 p.m. one man handed a .40-caliber handgun to the other, who handed it back. The men, both in their early 20s, did not threaten anyone, and officials said it was unclear what prompted their actions.
Police evacuated about 70 people and arrested the men without incident.
