Woman’s Body Found in Ocean Off Dana Point

The body of a Rancho Santa Margarita woman was found in the ocean off Dana Point on Saturday morning, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
A kayaker discovered the body about a quarter of a mile off Capistrano Beach about 11 a.m., according to Lt. Hayward Miller.
Deputy Coroner Mitchell Sigal identified the woman as Susan Platte, 36.
Coroner officials were investigating the circumstances of Platte’s death, but Miller said that there were no outward signs of foul play.
