Copied culture

Having seen the Einstein exhibit currently at the Skirball museum and the museum’s earlier exhibit on Freud, I am struck by the fact that so much of both exhibits are facsimiles of letters and documents, and not the actual documents. The advertisements for these exhibits never mention this.
It seems to me before you ask people to pay $12 for admission, you ought to warn them in advance that much of what they will see may have been copied at Kinko’s. This policy calls into question both the scholarship of the museum and its honesty.
