Official Slain After Muslim Rioters’ Deaths

Search teams found the body of a local official beheaded as revenge for the deaths of 85 rioters in southern Thailand last week, police said.
The head of Jaran Torae, an assistant village leader from the Sukhirin district of Narathiwat province, was found with a letter attached saying the killers were avenging the deaths of Muslim rioters. His body was found more than half a mile away.
