Update -- This will be the Galaxy’s second of three games in eight days. Los Angeles, which was held to a 1-1 tie by D.C. United at the Home Depot Center on April 10, will be without its starting forwards. Guatemalan international Carlos Ruiz, its top goal scorer over the last three seasons, severely sprained his right ankle in a 1-1 tie with the Colorado Rapids on Saturday. An MRI exam Monday revealed no more extensive damage, but it is not known when he will return. Fellow forward Jovan Kirovski is out because of a sprained right foot, and injured defenders Tyrone Marshall and Danny Califf and midfielder Peter Vagenas also did not make the trip. D.C. United is without forwards Santino Quaranta, Eliseo Quintanilla and Thiago Martins, all recovering from surgery, and has listed midfielder Bobby Convey as questionable because of a left hamstring strain.
