Adult Film Company Resumes Production
Vivid Entertainment Group, the nation’s top adult movie maker, has resumed production nearly a month after five performers were infected with the AIDS virus, shutting down much of the multibillion-dollar U.S. porn video industry.
The voluntary moratorium, established by the industry last month after actor Darren James tested positive for HIV, ended on Saturday.
The adult film industry earns an estimated $4 billion to $10 billion annually and churns out around 4,000 new movies each year.
The business is based mainly in the San Fernando Valley.
