The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait:

Michael R. Adams, 24, of Seattle; first lieutenant, Army. Adams was killed Tuesday when the barrel of the .50-caliber weapon mounted on his tank struck him in Al Asad, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Carson, Colo.

Andrew D. Brownfield, 24, of Summit, Ohio; corporal, Marine Corps. Brownfield died Thursday of wounds suffered in an enemy mortar attack at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 374, Marine Wing Support Group 37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force at Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Jocelyn L. Carrasquillo, 28, of Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; specialist, Army National Guard. Carrasquillo was killed March 13 when an improvised explosive device hit his vehicle along the main supply route in Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 120th Infantry Regiment, Army National Guard in Wilmington, N.C.

Joe L. Dunigan Jr., 37, of Belton, Texas; staff sergeant, Army. Dunigan was killed March 11 when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device in Fallouja, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division at Ft. Riley, Kan.

Michael J. Esposito Jr., 22, of Brentwood, N.Y.; sergeant, Army. Esposito was one of two soldiers killed Thursday when their team came under small-arms fire while clearing a village in Dehrawood, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Clint D. Ferrin, 31, of Picayune, Miss.; staff sergeant, Army. Ferrin was one of three soldiers killed March 13 when an improvised explosive device struck their vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Jason C. Ford, 21, of Bowie, Md.; specialist, Army. Ford was killed March 13 when his patrol was struck by an improvised explosive device in Tikrit, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment in Schweinfurt, Germany.

Christopher K. Hill, 26, of Ventura; specialist, Army. Hill was killed March 11 when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device in Fallouja, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division at Ft. Riley, Kan.

John F. Kurth, 31, of Columbus, Wis.; captain, Army. Kurth was killed March 13 when his patrol was struck by an improvised explosive device in Tikrit, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment in Schweinfurt, Germany.

Anthony S. Lagman, 26, of Yonkers, N.Y.; staff sergeant, Army. Lagman was one of two soldiers killed Thursday when their team came under small-arms fire while clearing a village in Dehrawood, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Tracy L. Laramore, 30, of Okaloosa, Fla.; specialist, Army. Laramore died Wednesday in Baji, Iraq, of injuries suffered when his Bradley fighting vehicle went over an embankment and overturned in a river. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment in Schweinfurt, Germany.

Daniel J. Londono, 22, of Boston; sergeant, Army. Londono was one of three soldiers killed March 13 when an improvised explosive device struck their vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Ricky A. Morris Jr., 20, of Lubbock, Texas; private first class, Marine Corps. Morris was killed Thursday as a result of enemy action in Al Qaim, Iraq. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

William J. Normandy, 42, of Augusta, Ga.; sergeant, Army National Guard. Normandy died Monday in Camp Virginia, Kuwait, of noncombat-related injuries. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 86th Field Artillery, Army National Guard in Montpelier, Vt.

Ivory L. Phipps, 44, of Chicago; sergeant, Army National Guard. Phipps died Wednesday in Baghdad of injuries suffered in a mortar attack. He was assigned to the 1544th Transportation Company, Army National Guard in Paris, Ill.

Brandon C. Smith, 20, of Washington, Ark.; private first class, Marine Corps. Smith was killed Thursday as a result of enemy action in Al Qaim, Iraq. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Ernest Harold Sutphin, 21, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; private first class, Army. Sutphin died Thursday in Landstuhl, Germany, of injuries suffered March 11 in a vehicle incident in Kirkuk, Iraq. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 11th Field Artillery, 25th Infantry Division (Light) at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Thomas R. Thigpen, 52, of Augusta, Ga.; master sergeant, Army National Guard. Thigpen died Tuesday in Camp Virginia, Kuwait, of noncombat-related injuries. He was assigned to the 151st Signal Battalion, Army National Guard in Greenville, S.C.
