Surgery for Trojan Fullback

USC fullback Brandon Hancock had reconstructive surgery on his left knee Tuesday and is expected to sit out the 2004 season.
Hancock caught 13 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns last season as a sophomore. Although slowed by injuries, he started seven games, including the Trojans’ Rose Bowl victory over Michigan where he sustained a torn knee ligament.
Senior Lee Webb, who started five games last season, has been working with the first team in Hancock’s place during spring practice, which resumes March 25.
