Dead Marine’s Father Has Mementos Stolen

A man whose only son was killed in the war in Iraq lost videotaped mementos when his car was burglarized in Tijuana.
Fernando Suarez del Solar had gone to a restaurant Monday night after he spoke at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California. He returned to his car and discovered someone had broken in, he said.
The thief took television news footage of Suarez del Solar’s son in Iraq the day before the Marine was killed, as well as a video of Suarez del Solar’s own trip to Iraq last November, a computer and other items.
