Bicyclist, 34, Shot to Death in Oxnard Alley
From a Times Staff Writer
A 34-year-old man riding a bicycle was shot to death in an alleyway near downtown Oxnard, police said Thursday.
Jeffrey James Haerterich was shot about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near the 800 block of South Oxnard Boulevard, police said.
A motive for the shooting is unknown, but it does not appear to be gang-related, police said.
The gunman remains at large.
