Some Offices Will Close for Day of Mourning

Most nonemergency government offices in Los Angeles County will be closed today in honor of former President Reagan.
There will be no regular mail delivery, but there will be express delivery.
Cal State Northridge and Rio Hondo College in Whittier will close, but most other institutions of higher education will remain open, as will most elementary schools and high schools.
Most offices in Los Angeles City Hall will be open, but the City Council meeting has been postponed. State courts will be open, but federal courts will be closed, except for emergency filings.
Public transportation systems will run on normal Friday schedules. Most of the county’s healthcare facilities will be open, but some nonemergency appointments are being rescheduled.
